The particulars of the proposed varia- > tions are as follows:— . 1. To revoke the said Suburban Order in k bo far as it provided for or related to the construction and maintenance of a tram- , way along the new road in the District of • !I ' e Local Authority as therein mentioned. 2. lo revoke the said Suburban Order in so far as it related to the establishment and maintenance of omnibus services between the tramway terminus at Victoria Avenue in Remuera Road and the Northern end of Victoria Avenue and the Southern end of Mountain Road. 3. To provide for the maintenance of the omnibus service along Victoria Avenue until the completion of the tramway extension along such avenue, go far as is reasonably practicable. 4. It is proposed to vary the Deed of Delegation dated the Second day of August 1901 made between the Local Authority and Iho Auckland Electric Tramways Company Limited in accordance with the said variations in the said Suburban i Order intended to be made by the proposed Order. Tho particulars of the proposed Undertakings and of the delegation thereof are aa follows (a) The description of the proposed 1 works is:— : (1) An extension from th" present terminus of the Remuera tramway at the junction of Green Lane with Remuera Road along Remuera Soad to the Southern end of Mountain Road. (2) An extension from the junction of Rt-muera Bond with victoria Avenue along Victoria Avenue to its junction with Beach Road. Such extensions to be worked by applied electric power by means of the overhead trolley system in the name method »<j the tramway already constructed along the said Remuera Road. (b) The plans longitudinal sections and cross sections showing the nature of the works and the line of construction are deposited for public inspection in the office of the Authority in Remuera Road. (c) It is intended that the authority contained in the said authorising Order shall be. delegated by* the Local Authority to the Auckland Electric Tramways Company Limited. (d) A general description of the terms and conditions subject to which the delegation is to be made is as fol- j lows:— i All the powors and authorities of' the Local Authority under the Or-ner-in-Council shall bo delegated to the said Company for the period of Thirty-three years from tho date of such delegation. Th» Company shall commence the first or Mountain Road extension within six months and have it open for traffic within twelve months from the date of delegation, and shall commence the second or Victoria Avenue extension and have same open for \ traffic as soon as is reasonably practicable, but not later than the Thirtieth day of June 1913 oi* twelve months from the date of delegation and the Company shall thereafter during the said period keep and maintain lines of tramway upon the routes mentioned in Clause A hereof and run cars thereon upon the terms and conditions and under and subject to the powers and remedies of the Local Authority in case of default mentioned or referred to in the proposed Deed of Delegation with liberty to the Local Authority to purchase the Undertakings of the said Company at the time and in manner therein mentioned.' (e) Copies of . the proposed Order-in- . Council and of the above-mentioned plans and sections and also of the proposed Deed of Variation and Delegation, together with copies of the said Suburban Order and the Deed of Delegation thereof are deposited and open for public inspection during office hours at the office of the Local Authority in Remuera Road. The Common Seal of The Body Corporate called the Inhabitants of the Remuera Road District was hereto duly 1 set and affiled by the authority of the (L.S.) FRTHER Notice is hereby given that in J; the event of the Order-in-Council referred to in the above written Notice being erajitcd it is the intention of the Remuera Road Board (unless forbidden by the ratepayers in manner prescribed by " The Tramways Act 1908" or its amendments) on the granting of. the same to delegate to the Auckland Electric Tramways Company Limited the authority conferred on tho said Local Authority by " The Auckland Suburban Order No. 2." , The particulars of the works authorised by tho said Order of the proposed delegation thereof are as . follows:— (a) The tramway in Remuera . (c) Plans lonpritndinal sections and cross sections showing the nature of the works and also of the proposed Deed of Delegation and of the eaid Auckland Suburban Electric Tramways Order No. 2 are deposited for public inspection during office hours in tho office of the Local Authority in Remuera Road.
