CLEVEDON NEWS.

Mr. H. C. Browne, who, for many years has been lay reader to All Souls' Church, Clevedon, has resigned his office.
The piles are now ready for the new ferro-concrete bridge at Thorps, and it is hoped that tho bridgo will be ready for use beforo the winter sets in. Messrs. James are tho contractors.
It has been derided to build the ambulance shed at the back of the Public Hall, Clevedon, a central position and easy of access. The formalities are now being arranged, and the. wholo scheme will soon be completed. The heavy rains during the past week have done an immense amount of good to all save those whoso late crops of hay arc not vet harvested. The ladies of the Basketball Club gave a leap year dance on February 29. A dainty supper was provided, and the hall was artistically decorated. Merediths orchestra supplied the music. Misses Waters (captain), M. McKnight, and Sutherland acted as M.C.'s.
