FIRE IN EMPTY HOUSE.
[by telegraph.—press ASSOCIATION.] Chbistchitkch, , T '/,» ' <day. A kirk occurred at 3.30 a.m. to-day in an unoccupied eight-roomed house in St. Albans, owned by A. J. Marshall, of Kaikoura. The fire started in a cupboard under the stairs, and was confined to the stairs and landing. The building was insured for £450 in the State Office.
