STOCKS AND SHARES.
BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY.
Business on tho Stock Exchange was fairly bright yesterday. In mining lines Talismans were- disposed of at 53s 9d, leaving further supplies .available at that price, buyers offering 53s 6d. Waihis were firm, shares being bought at 455, with further sellers at that figure, and buyers at 44s 9d. Waihi Grand Junctions were easier, shares changing hands at 28s 9d, later buyers quoting 28s 6d and sellers 28s 9d. Waihi-Paeroas were in strong demand, and shares were disposed of at more being inquired for at 445, sellers quoting 47s 6d. In investment stocks Northern Steams (paid) wero done at 14s 6d; Takapuna Trams, at 15s 6d; and Wilsons Portland Cements at 38s. 6d. THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE. Previous day's closing sales. £ a. d. The only sale reported on the Christehureh Stock Exchange to-day was Waihi Grand Junctions at 289 M. ' Drjx'Enra', Tuesday.
