His 18-year-old daughter, Princess Marie, succeeds. On July 6, 1907, a. Bill, vesting the rights of tlio Luxemburg succession in the eldest daughter (Princess Mario) of the reigning Grand Duke Wilhelm, was passed by the Chamber of Deputies. In 1893 the Grand Duke married Maria Anna, daughter of Dom Miguel, Duke of Braganza, and Princess Marie was born in the following year. She lias five younger sisters. Luxemburg, which is included in the German Zollverein, has an area of 998 square miles and a population of 246,455.
