VisrroES who returned from" the Ka*t Coast before Saturday night's rain stated that the coast presented a very burned up appearance, and that feed was very scarce, «> much so that many settlers have had to move their stock, some round the East tape. At one period the Xokoman ■feezing works were greatly hampered '(trough tho scarcity of water" although a "letter supply has now been obtained trough tapping another spring. There Md been practically no rain' for live months, which, it is stated, is one of the *>rst dry spells ever experienced on the Oast.
