An expected arrival at Auckland to-day is the Federal-Houlder-Shire liner Banffshire, from Liverpool and Australian ports. The vessel is bringing a number of third-class passengers for all parts of the Dominion, while her cargo for Auckland amounts to 3000 'ons. She will berth at the Railway Wharf on a.-rival. From Auckland the Banffshire proceeds to Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. HAUROTO FROM FIJI. At 9 o'clock last night the Union Company's steamer Hauroto arrived in the stream from Fiji. After medical inspection had been carried out bv 'the port health officer, she berthed at the Queen-street Wharf an hour and a-half later. The purser reports that the Hauroto left Suva at 4 p.m. on Thursday last, and experienced fine weather throughout the passage. . The vessel's cargo consists of 780 tons of fruit and general cargo for New Zealand ports. She sails at noon to-day for Wellington and Westport.
