BUSINESS DONE SATURDAY.

The sharemarket was quiet on Saturday. In standard stocks no sales were reported. Bank of New Zealands were in demand at £10 17s 6d, and National Banks at £5 16s, with no declared sellers. For New Zealand Insurances 94s were offered, sellers asking 955. There were buyers of South British at 745, sellers asking 74s 9d. In mining lines Talismans sold at 53s 6d, with further buyers at 55s 3d, sellers 53s 9d. Waihis were held at 455, with buyers at 44s 6d. For Waihi Grand Junctions buyers offered 28s 9d, with sellers at 295. May Queens sold at Is 6d, Waiotahis at 3s 7d, and Old Haurakis at Is 6d and Is 7d. THE, AUCKLAND EXCHANGE.
