ADMIRER OF BRITAIN.

GERMAN CROWN PRINCE ANXIOUS TO EXPLAIN.

From tho latest developments it would appear that the Kaiser's eldest son, the German Grown Prince, was misrepresented when he was made to appear as the enemy of England. It will bo remembered that on November 10, during a debate in the Reichstag, his conduct during a debate on Germany's relations with other countries gave rise to an tineasy feeling that the heir to the German throne was openly antagonistic to Great Britain.. Ho was understood to applaud I openly some anti-British sentiments expressed by a member of the Reichstag. On returning from Danzig, whither he went after tho incidents referred to, the Crown Prince expressed surprise that his action should have been unfavourably interpreted. He is anxious that he should be regarded as a friend and admirer of England and the English. He remembers with gratitude the warm welcome accorded to him on several occasions on British soil, notably in London and during his recent visit to India. Ho loft that country full of appreciation of British genius for government and administration. Nothing was farther from his mind than an intention to display any kind of unfriendly feeling towards England. It was a misrepresentation of the truth he declares, to say that his demonstrations were intended as marks of unfriendliness to Britain. What lie did was to express himself decisively on certain points of German policy. ]„ his desire to remove every degree of misunderstanding he has sent verbal and written communications to some of his friends in England to explain the position to them.
