WILD WEATHER IN AMERICA
FIVE STEAMERS ASHORE. By Telegraph.—Press Association.— New York, February 22. Oil derricks were levelled in hundreds in Western Pennsylvania by, a furious gale, which swept over the country. Terrific snowstorms are reported from Northern Ohio and Michigan, and heavy gales from Southern California. Five steamers were driven ashore on the coast of Virginia, but so far as is known no life was lost.
