FIRES IN WAIHI.
TWO SMALL BUILDINGS. [by telegraph.— correspondent.] Waihi, Thursday. There were two outbreaks of firo hero to-day, but fortunately neither were attended with heavy damage. The first was in .a wash-house in Regent-street, owned by Air. C. .J. Pearson, who, in addition, lost harness, tools, and effects stored in the wash-house, which was completely demolished. The total damage amounted to £30 or £40, and there was no insurance. The origin of the fire is unknown. The second outbreak" occurred about 1.30 o'clock this afternoon, in an outhouse off the residence of Mr. E. Bestic. The building was destroyed, Vufc the brigade succeeded in preventing \\e fire from spreading. There was no : , insurance.
