The Wanaka is due at Auckland this morning from the luff, via Oamaru, Timaru, and Napier. She has 1550 tons of produce to discharge here, and will berth at the. llobson-street Wharf on arrival. The Welling/ton radio station advised last night that the steamers Moana (from Wellington to Lyttelton). Victoria (from Napier to Wellington), Manuka (from Lyttelton to Wellington), lonic (from Hobart- to Wellington), and Tainui (from Wellington to, London), were within wireless range. The Colonial Sugar Company's steamer Fiona completed the discharge of her cargo of raw sugar at- Chelsea yesterday. She will come down from Chelsea this morning, and berth at. the Queenstreet Wharf to load a quantity of general cargo for Fiji. She sails to-morrow afternoon. THIS WEEK'S SYDNEY STEAMER. The local office of the Union Company is advised that tho steamer Maheno sailed from Sydney at 1 p.m. on Wednesday for Auckland direct. She has on board 119 saloon and 95 steerage passengers and 700 tons of cargo to land here. The Maheno is due at Auckland on Sunday morning. THE SOUTHERN STEAM After a fine weather passage, with light variable winds, the Union Company's steamer Alonowai arrived from Southern port* at 1.15 p.m. yesterday and berthed at the New Queen-street. Wharf. The, vessel left Dunedin at 4 p.m. on February 16, calling at the usual way ports en rout© and arriving as above. Sho sails at noon to-morrow on the return voysgo to Southern ports. HORNELEN ARRIVES AT HOBART. The Norwegian steamer Hornelen, which presented such a end sight on arrival at Auckland on the morning of February 6 as a result of her tussle with the elements during the voyage from Puget Sound, reached the Tasmanian port at 9 a.m. on February 16. The Hornelen will, it is anticipated, reach Sydney towards the end of the month. ' ARRIVAL OF THE TERRIER. Laden with case oil, the Norwegian steamer Terrier arrived at- Auckland yesterday rooming from Philadelphia, via Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington, and berthed at the Queen-street Wharf. She has 20.000 oases of oil to put out here, and then proceeds to Brisbane to complete. When the Terrier* left Philadelphia she had 192,281 cases of assorted oil under hatches. The Terrier is a fine new cargo steamer of 3163 tons net register, and is capable, of stowing away 8200 tons of cargo in her holds, and is well equipped with all modern appliances for the rapid handling of cargo. She was built at Sunderland about a year ago, and is owned by Mr. Wilhelm Wilhelmsen. of Tonsberg, Norway. She made a round trip last year from the Continent to Australia and back, and then went to Philadelphia to load for her present trip to New Zealand. The vessel is under the command of Captain Hans Tliorsen. his officers being Mr. Julius Johanscn (chief), Mr. Arnt Jersen (second), and Mr.' Haakon Skaar (third). MARAMA LEAVES VANCOUVER. { Cable advice hns been received by the local | office of the Union Company to tho effect that, the R.M.S. Morama cleared Vancouver at noon on Wednesday for Auckland, via Honolulu and Suva. Che has on board 45 first saloon, 60 second saloon .arid 70 third-class passengers for all ports, while her cargo for Auckland amounts to 530 tons, and 740 tons for Sydney. The Marama is due here on March 12. BANFFSHIRE LEAVES SYDNEY. In continuation of her voyage from Liverpool, the Federal-Houlder-Shire liner Banffshire left Sydney yesterday for Auckland. The vessel is bringing a number of third-class passengers for nil parts of the Dominion, while her cargo for Auckland amounts to 3000 tons. She should put in an appearance here on Tuesday morning. From Auckland the Banffshire goes to Wellington, and then to Lyttelton and Dunedin.
