THE WAXGANUI REGATTA. [BY TBLECnAPH.—PKESS ASSOCIATION.] Wangaxui, Thursday. The annual regatta of he Wanganiii Rowing Association wan held this afternoon. The .sky was overcast, and a strong breezß was blowing, but the river course was smooth, anil the conditions splendid for rowing. There was a good attendance of the public at the winning post, and eoino capital racing was witnessed. The r» suits arc as follows:—
Maiden Fours, one mile: Union, 1: Aramoho. 2; Wellington, 3." Wanganui and Xawatiri also started. A splendid race for most of the distance. Won by three lengths. Wellington four lengths away, 'lime, sm. 38s. Senior Fours (best and best boats), two miles: Union, 1 ; Clifton, 2. Only two started Won easily by a couple of lengths, lime, 11m. 45 M .
