ELLERSLIE TOWN BOARD.

THE Ellerslie Town Board held its usual fortnightly meeting on Tuesday. In reply to the Board's request for the widening of Fowlds-street, the Minister for Labour wrote stating that he saw no immediate necessity for doing the work, and that it would have to stand over for the present. .It was resolved that a letter bo sent to the Minister expressing dissatisfaction with the reply, and asking him to reconsider the matter. It was also resolved to make representations through the member for the district, Mr. F. W. Lang. It was resolved to alter the oflke hours from Tuesday afternoon to Saturday afternoon. Messrs. White and Hitchings were granted building permits for a dwellinghouse, and for a night watohjnan's building.
