RESCUED FROM DEATH.

By Telegraph.— Tkm Association.—Copyright New York, February 8. The entombment of 62 miners in the Bunker Hill mine, California, arose out of the breaking of a cable in the main shaft, causing a heavily laden skip filled with rocks to crash downwards, wrecking the shaft timbers and dislodging rocks from the side of the shaft. A single airpipe remained open, and this alone prevented a terrible disaster. The entombed men took refuge in a tunnel, and were eventually rescued unhurt through the main shaft.
