FIRST STAGE IN LITIGATION. [BY TELEGRAPH.---PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Friday. A preliminary point in connection with litigation between the Marconi Wireless Company and the Huddart-Parker Company, in the form of a summons by the defendants to give security for costs, and to show cause why the action should nob be stayed until such sum is paid or security given, on the ground that plaintiff is resident out of New Zealand, was decided by Mr. Justice Chapman to-day. His Honor held that the proper sum to be deposited or adequately secured by the plaintiff was £1000, and made an order accordingly.
