WHAKAREWAREWA GEYSERS.

The displays given by the numerous geysers at Whakarewarewa reserve and the continuity of each particular display since January 12 (telegraphs our Rotorua correspondent) are as follows : —Saturday : The Prince of Wales Feathers and Pohutu geysers commenced to play at 5.55 a.m. and stopped at 6.40 a.m. They recommenced at 2.7 p.m. and stopped at 3.55 p.m. Waikorohihi geyser played for nine hours continuously. Sunday: Prince of Wales Feathers and Pohutu commenced at 5.50 p.m. and stopped at 6.12. Waikorohihi played continuously for 6h. 45m. Monday : Pohutu did not play. The Waikorohihi and Prince of Wales played at intervals. Tuesday: The Prince of Wales Feathers and Pohutu commenced to play at 4.25 a.m. and continued till 5.44 a.m. From 8.44 a.m. till 9.6 a.m. the same geysers played again and on the afternoon of the same day they gave another fine display for nearly two hours. Waikorohihi threw up a great stream of boiling water for llh. 20m. without ceasing. Wednesday: Pohutu and Prince of Wales again played from 1.12 p.m. to 2.33 p.m. and on the same day Waikorohihi played for sh. 45m. continuously. Thursday: Prince of Wales and Pohutu commenced at 7.20 a.m. and stopped at 8.22 a.m. They commenced playing again at 11.13 a.m. ceasing at 11.30 a.m. For 4h. 35m. Waikorohihi played. The Prince of Wales arid Pohutu commenced again at 6.35 p.m. continuing until 7.27, p.m. The Prince of Wales Feathers played for sh. 45m. The Kereru geyser has played at intervals daily, and PapaI kura has also played continuously as usual. 1 The boiling cauldron (Te Horo) been active daily during the week. The Prince of Wales Feathers and Pohutu commenced yesterday morning at 6.15 and stopped at 8.15. Waikorohihi gave a splendid display for 4h. 10m. continuously. 1
