COROMANDEL. [BT XELECItAPH. — COIUIESPOKBENT.] CoeoMandel, Friday. Mb. David Carlton, 70 years of age, passed away at the Coromandel Hospital yesterday after a long and painful illness. The deceased was taken to Huntly for interment, where his family reside. One of Coromandel's oldest residents, Mrs. Ruffin, died in Auckland on Wednesday, and her remains were brought to Coromandel:,for interment by the Rotoraahana yesterday. The deceased was born in Coromandel, and her husband predeceased her five years ago. She leaves one daughter ( Mrs. Edward Legge) and two i sons. .'■< -'•• ■•"- ■■-■ .■'. \\ . Evans, superintendent, was held on Mr. Godwin Smith's property on Wednesday. About 150 children and friends put in an appearance, and a very, enjoyable day was,spent. :' :;!
