BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY. A good deal of business was done on the •Stock Exchange yesterday. Waihis changed hands at 57s and 56s 6d, with more shares available at the latter price, but later buyers only offered 56a 3d. Waihi Grand Junctions were 'bought at 50s, business closing with more shares offering at 30s, and sellers offer- , ing 29s 3d. There were transactions in Talismans at 48s 6d. Occidentals were easier, business opening at Is sd, and v prices falling to Is 3d. More shares were inquired for at Is 3d, but late sellers quoted Is 4d. Waiotahis were bought at 5s 2d; Waitangis at 2s lOd; Watchmans at 2s 2d and 2s Id; and Crowns at 2s 8d and 2s lOd. In investment stocks there were sales of New Zealand Insurance shares ''on tho floor" at 92s 3d ; of Auckland Tram shares (ord.) at 23s 6d; of New Zealand Portland Cement shares (new issue) at 30s; and of Wilsons Portland Cement shares (ord.) at 39s 9d.
