The streets at present, have \ nothing; like the busy appearance which 'I was characteristic of the . season on many previous occasions. : Many tradesmen are complaining of the prospects. The suggestion is that the opening of the Main Trunk line to Auckland has diverted a considerable amount of holiday traffic from the Empiro City'; ' ■
