- 'As decided improvement sin the weather conditions took place yesterday, although the temperature was* considerably below tho average- tor this time of year. During ■ ;•» ; ,.tha height of the gale on the plate- * glasa windows & Holmes's Buildings, Onehunga, were broken, by. the force of, the \ wind, and, also the windows in an unoccupied shop further up the street. At Avondale considerable damage i was done • to the fruit trees, and the" Crop will suffer in consequence." Outbuildings there weie ' demolished oh- all sides. Two pine trees . came down across the"Great North Road, ; t and delayed vehicular-traffic until 4 they were cleared away., -. * r ".i'~ 1 -.. ■■-
