The Rev. E. C. Budd (Anglican chaplain) proved an efficient M.C., and Mr. R. Kendall (an inmate) returned thanks on behalf of himself and comrades, concluding an eloquent address by emphasising the fact that it was such functions as those which made even the inmates of the Costley Homo believe that after all life was worth living.
