The nr nual meeting of the Otahuhu Brass Band took place in the Masonic Hall. The president. (.Mr. Rowley) presided over a large attendance 1 of members and friends. The report shows tho band to be on a good footing, but short of members. Tho balance-sheet shows a debit of £6 8s 7d, and further liabilities of £10 (lent by a member) and £15 (duo for instruments) in January. Ways of meeting this debt wore discussed, and the matter was finally left to a corrunittco to report. Against this liability tho band has instruments valued at £102, and music, torches, etc., valued at £15. The following officers were —Patron, Mr. F. W. Lang; presidont, Mr. C. Rowley; vice-presidents, last year's list, with the following added, Messrs. W. P. Massey, M.P., W. West, Gccdman, and F. Andrew; secretary, Mr. A.. Wuddsll; assistant-secretary, Mr. C. Froser ; treasurer, Mr. E. Rosewarne; band sergeant, Mr. A. Logan; auditors, Messrs. E. Harper and C. Fraser; trustees, Messrs. H. J. Hall, John Todd, A. Waddell; committee, Messrs. Fitzsimmons, Shepherd, and Mclndoe, and officers of band."' About 20 honorary membesr were elected. - Several vocal and instrumental items were rendered by. the following: Songs by Messrs. Galloway (2) and Moffitt, Messrs. CaJdev (2), Smith (2), and Montague, instrumental duets by Bandsmen Logan and McCoy, Conductor Nichols and Bandsman Rosewarne. Mrs. Fraser and tho Rev. McDonald played the accompaniments. Supper was then handed round. ' ■
