AUCKLAND'S MANY CRADLES.
RECORD OF ELEVEN MONTHS. Since the beginning of the year, 2700 children have been born within the city and tho suburbs of Auckland, which. are under the jurisdiction of the city registrar of births. . ( That number is greater by 75 than the number of births during the eleven months of last year. The births have been more than double the number of deaths, though the latter is somewhat largo owing to the unusually large number of aged people who have died during the past few months. During November there were registered in Auckland city 228 births, 108 deaths and 116 marriages. In November of last year "the' births numbered 225, the deaths 95, and the marriages 100. The totals for the eleven months of the two years are as follow — . 1911. 1910. : Births ... 2,700 ... 2,625 ■' Deaths ... 1,276 "... 1,227 Marriages ... 1,228 ... 1,199 Dining tho past eleven months, .263 marriages have taken place in the registrar's office, the number of couples united during November being 16. In. the corresponding period of 1910, there were 262 marriages by • the registrar, 15 of them being in the last month of ? the period. • \
