ENTERTAINMENTS.
~ QUEEN'S , THEATRE. The Queen's j Theatre was thronged throughout Saturday by delighted- audiences, numbering over 4000 people,, who greeted the excellent programme with unstinted applause. To-day at 11 a.m. a series of the latest films, including industrial, comic, and dramatic subjects, : together with Bison and Champion photo, plays, will' bo -presented. Among .the special features is "The Launching of Australia's First Battleship" and "In the Great Wild West" (Champion). A series of electric fans have now been installed in the theatre. , ■ ■;. "IN THE GRIP OF ALCOHOL." Owing to unforeseen circumstances the film "In the Grip of Alcohol" could not be shown in the Lyric Theatre and Royal 'Albert Hall yesterday.- It will be exhibited to-night at the comer of Newton Road and Syraonds-street, and to-morrow at Newmarket, weather permitting. ADELPHI THEATRE. The Adelphi Theatre at Newmarket was crowded on Saturday, and tho excellent programme of moving pictures screened was highly enjoyed. "Tho Tale of Two Cities" was probably tho most popular of tho interesting subjects depicted. Tho programme will be repeated this evening.
