UNHAPPY MARRIAGE OF A PEER'S SOX. Having failed to comply with a decree ordering restitution of conjugal rights, the Hon. Harry Lee Stanton Lee-Dillon put in no defence, to the petition of his wife, the Hon. Brenda Mary Lee-Dillon, of Croft Cottage. Crawley, for a dissolution of her marriage on the ground of his desertion and miconduct. Mr. Barnard, K.C., explained that Mr. and Mrs. LeeDillon were married in 1904 at the Westminster registrar's office. They lived at Ditehlcy, Oxfordshire, and other places. the married life was not happy, and in May. 1908, the husband left his wife. In November of that year she filed a petition for judicial separation, alleging misconduct on the part of her husband. Directly afterwards Viscount Dillon, respondent's father, took proceedings in the Chancery Division to upset the marriage settlement. An arrangement was come to between Mrs. Le-Dillon and her father-in-law, and in July. 1910. she took the advice of counsel and put an end to the judicial separation proceedings. In January last sue wrote to her husband asking for restitution of conjugal rights. He refused, and on May 22 the court pronounced a decree. This was not. obeyed. After it was served Mr. Lee-Dillon wrote a letter confessing that he had stayed with a lady at the Railway Hotel, Heme Ray, and on inquiry that was found to be true. The lady was unknown. Formal evidence having been given, a decree nisi was granted, with costs. Mr. Barnard said that he did not ask for the custody of the child, as it had been made a ward of court. .. L .
