The schedule of amendments to the tariff, unexpectedly introduced yesterday in the House of Representatives by the Minister for Customs, Mr. Tudor,' contains altogether 124 amendments. Flannelette is regarded as- highly dangerous. Non-inflammable is admitted at 5 per cent, (foreign) and free (British), while ordinary flannelette is charged 25 per cent, (foreign) and 20 per cent.
