ROCKS FOR LIBERALS.
HOME RULE AND INSURANCE
AN IRISH FREE PARLIAMENT.
UNIONIST" S DIRE PROPHECY.
By Telegraph.— Association.— Lon-don, November 26. Speaking to his constituents at Gravesend, Sir Gilbert Parker, M.P., said that the Irish Nationalist Leader, Mr. John Redmond, wanted Home Rule on the basis of Canadian autonomy. The Government, he added, did not dare to give Ireland that, along with control of the Customs and excise, which would amount to making the* Irish Parliament practically independent of the.lmperial Parliament ; yet a section inside tho Cabinet, and a large Radical faction outside, was willing to grant those terms. The Liberal ship, Sir Gilbert predicted, would certainly go to pieces on that rock, and was not unlikely to bo wrecked very soon on the Insurance Bill.
