Mr W. F. Massev, Deader of the Opposition, will speak at Taumanmui this evening, and will arrive in Auckland tomorrow morning.
Dr, W. E. Williams, of Melbourne, was t passenger from' London on the Zealandia. The few hours of his stay here were spent with his son. Dr. A. Williams, of Roinucra.
Dr. P. C. Hammersley, who has recently undergone a somewhat serious operation at Mount Pleasant- private-, hospital, is now making very- satisfactory progress towards recovery. *" '."" , *

Mr. Frank Hutchens, A.R.A.M., the brilliant pianist, who has been the guest of the Rev. J. Dukes. Onehunga. for a month, left by the Rarawa- for New Plymouth yesterday, accompanied by Mr. Will Hutchens.
Mr. and Mrs. F. Cole (England) arrived from Wellington by the Main Trunk express yesterday, and are staying at the Grand Hotel for a day or so, after ■which they will spend three months on a fishing loufr round the Lakes district.
