YACHTING. PONSONBY CRUISING CLUB. The Ponsonby Yacht and Launch Cruising Club held its first cruising race for yachts and launches on Saturday, the destination being Station Bay. . • Tho entries and handicaps for the yacht race were as follow :—Gladv, scratch ; Mabel, 30s. ; Foam, lm. 305.; Mistletoe, lm. 30s. ; Ranee, 2m. ; Alice, 5m.; Acacia, 6m.; Waitangi, 9m. The finishing times were: Glady, 4h. 35m. 455.; Foam. 4h. 36m. 155.; Mabel, 4h. 41m. 355.; Waitangi, sh. 3m. 325.; Alice, sh. 12m. 255. The Alice, Mabel, Waitangi, and Mistletoe were all late in starting. The Acacia had the bad luck to carry away her mast near the finish of tho race, niid she" was towed into the liuv by the Mistletoe, the launch Maroro towing her back to town i yesterday. On corrected times, Glady is first Foam second, and Mabel third. The entries and handicap for the launch race were: Kotiro, scratch; Marore, lm. ; Kotiri, 11m. 265. ; Tamahine, 22m. 30s. ; Irene May, 45m. 30s. The Marore and Irene May did not start. The finishing times were: Kotiro, 4h. 32m. 25.: Kotiri, 4h. »Bm. 205.; Tamabine, 4h. 49m. 15s. The corrected times place Tamahino first, and Kotiro second.
