.ROMANCE ENDS IN MARRIAGE.
'A corBTSHU' which was conducted by "wireless telegraphy has just been satisfac- ' torily concluded at New York by the mar- ■* riage of -Mr. James Haugh, a wealthy • manufacturer, of Indianapolis, and Mile. Marguerite Castaign, daughter of Colonel Castaign, of the French army. Mr. Haugh met the lady who ie now his wife on a steamer crossing from New York to, Havre, when she was returning home last June with her father after a visit to America. , He fell in love ; with her, and afterwards visited the home of Mile. Castaign in France, but when ho left he had rot plucked up courage enough to propose to her. He finally sailed homo from -Liverpool without having asked for her hand. > , *,; ' :, *■ At 6ea however, he became desperate, and before the ship was out of'touch with wireless stations Mr. Hauglii sent a message to Mile. Castaign consisting of the , following seven words : " I love you. Will you marry me?" Back came the answer, " I will." Letters f- _ pud cables from America did the rest. The young lady sailed on La Breiagne, ; and the happy lover, who met her on the . ■ ship's arrival at New York, constantly gent love messages to her by wireless - throughout the,voyage. : ' ; i The wireless operator on Le Bretagno on his arrival at New York said that he stood in need of a holiday. He declared taht ho did not mind regular commercial wireless business, but the glut of love nies»ages had worn him out.
