The evw dence for the defence is that Miss Daviea was . treated for threatened prematura birth. I }. The girl, it is declared, was .in great distress, owing to want, of funds. Peacock asked her to remain, but she persisted in leaving. He performed no operation.
A STAFFORDSHIRE CRIME. London*, October 23. - At the inquest .on the bodies of Mrs. Weir,, her four-year-old daughter, and a servant,: who were murdered in their house at Kidsgrove, Staffordshire, on Octtober 6, the jury returned a verdict of. , wilful murder against the German, Karl Kramer. '• - -• "r The tragedy was . discovered by . a daughter of Mrs. Weir. A sum of £30 had been stolen from the house. Kramer was arrested next day. •
