PALMERSTON MILITARY TOURNAMENT.

TEAMS FROM AUSTRALIA. Major F. E. Forrest, military instructor for Tasmania, has written to Captain Jeckell, stating that he hopes to send at least three teams to compete at the forthcoming military tournament at Palmerston North. The teams will include one from the Ilobart Battery, one or two from the Australian Light Horse, and probably one from the Launceston Battery. Congratulations are offered in regard to the comprehensive programme that is being prepared, and, particularly, in regard to the artillery driving competition, which forms one of the events. The tone of tho letter generally indicates a very high appreciation of the Palmerston military tournament, and the treatment accorded visiting teams by our local men.
