UNPAID LEAGUE DUES.
■ ... ■MINERS CALL FOR THE POLICR There was a stormy scene at "the Trades Hull at Newcastle, New South Wales, the other day, the moment, the delegate board of the Miners' Federation took their seat* at a special meeting. Two representatives of the extreme Socialist wing of the federation had refused to nay their contributions to the Political Labour Leacuie,- as ordered £-■" by the federation. The president informed these two delegates that they could not sit ■ as delegates until they paid up their do* /v. to the league. This was met with a refusal, which was followed by a threat of expulsion. The pair of undaunted Socialists declined to be expelled.,. Thereupon the board passed a resolution to call in the police. On a constable arriving, they quietly walked out. It is an interesting fact that since the two expelled men started to refuse to pay <-. to the Political Labour League the Miners . Federation has, by secret ballot, by 0013 votes to 2061, decided to cease to be affiliated with that body. — - ■'
