(Received October 23, 1.5 a;in.) ■"_' Lisbon, October 22. , The cruiser Sao Rafael has been wrecked at the mouth of the River Ave. Some 50 of the crew succeeded in swimming ashore when the vessel struck, and the remainder were " rescued before she sank. .' " : The : Portuguese cruiser Sao Rafael was built 'in 1898. :; She Was of : 1800 tons displacement, with a- length'; of ;246ffc; and a : beam of ; 35£ ft. r i \ i Her ' engines were 4(KX)-h.p.y capable of developing- a speed of 17 knots. Her sister ship is Ira Sao Gabriel.
