-:'. [Bf TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.J' Napieb, Tuesday," The Baptist Conference was continued today. -" The election of officers resulted as follows:—The Rev. H. Knowles Kempton (Auckland) president; -Mr. J. G. Frasei; (Christchurch), vice-president; Rev. R.V.S, Gray, secretary; Mr. A. F. Carey, treasurer Rev. Alfred' North, financial seero-' tary. The Rev. Alfred North (Ponsonby) was appointed home mission superintendent acid travelling'organiser, at a* salary of % £250 and, expenses. A students' committee was elected comprising the Revs. A., Williams (convener), J. J. North, J.- K. Archer, A. S. v Wilson, and Mr. A. S. Adams. Mr. H. H. Driver was :e* elected editor of'the New Zealand Baptist, and the Rev." E. ,H. Hobday sub-editor. A committee consisting of ; the following was > set up to * consider . and formulate a scheme for ' the removal and settlement of ministers:— K. Kempton, Buckingham,. J. J. North, H.= Elliott, R. S. Gray, and F. H. Radford, Messrs J. Carson and H. M. SEieeton. . The following were elected a Sunday-school Committee: — • Messrs. W. G. ' Shearer '£■ (convener), W. Donovan,, R. Edwards, T. F. Thompson, R. O'Connor, and F. C. Gray. The Rev. K. Kempton was elected convener of '■■ the Board of Introduction and ; Advice. ■' Rev. T. Kirk ;Ewen was elected union preacher ~:-:' : :a and the Rev. _ ; Howard Elliott deputy preacher. A literature committee was appointed, consisting of the following-A-Revs. Howard Elliott (convener), W. ~K. Woolley, and Mr. R. S. Abel. The Annuity , Fund Committee .was reappointed,' with Mr. R. S. Abel ,as secretary and Mr., H. M. Smeeton as treasurer. The Manse Fund Committee'was ? re-elected, with/the addition of Mr. T. E. Tonevcliffe (convener). The Rev.. W. R. Woolley was re* appointed-: registrar arid recorder. Messrs. T. r . E.- Whitton and Herton Barker ; were, appointed - auditors. An executive com« niittee was elected, consisting of the Revs. Kempton, Kwood, sen., J. J.» North, J. K. Archer, A. S. Wilson, R. S. Gray, T. A., Williams, C. D. Gardiner, C. Dailaston, W. Hay,;: E. H. Hobday, and A; North, Messrs. Smeeton, . Tonevcliffe,. Carson, Cathrie, Hoby, Mackie. Chidgy, >A. iF.
