Consideration of ill© Estimates was continued in the House of Representatives after the telegraph office closed this morning. - ; . The coal mines account (£268.715) ' was taken. Mr. J. Duncan (Wairau) moved a reduction of the vote by £1 as an indication that the importation of coal should be discouraged. The amendment was negatived by 30 votes to 14, and the vote was passed. The scenery preservation (£8850), Public© Trustee (£32,930), Government Insurance (£63,249), Government Accident Insurance (£7110), State Fire Department (£15,937), and the native land settlement (£350) accounts were put through, and the House rose at 2.55 a.m., having finished the Estimates.
