JL five-tear-old boy named Edward - "Hawthorne Shaw was drowned in the r- Avon a# Richmond yesterday afternoon. pe was playing with a small companion near the river bank, and said he was going to throw a stone in the river. A little r later he was missing. The police dragged v. the river, and recovered the body in the r• evening. . t\: At the inqueet it was stated that the deceased's father is second officer on the Is* f -land trader Induna. A verdict, of acci--1 dentally drowned was returned.
