AUSTRALIAN MAIL LINE.
Sir, —Heaven save the mark! The ordirv 8 ary interpretation of" mail indicates S something in tho way of despatch. But what gib H have ire in the case of the misnamed ser-fcl vice from Vancouver and San Francisco (tits Weir line). The mail (?) steamer;"BoVerio®| loaded at Vancouver on August 5, and now two months later she is still en route. I understand that, ignoring her ; condition? of transport, she is being utilised for sal-'lps vage services in connection with Knight of St. George, another of the mail steamers &- which is resting comfortably on a reeff'tfja| Tonga. Surely consignees "should be entitled to some rcdre?s for the extraordinary delay. Iwpoeteb. 1
