TRANS-AMERICAN FLIGHT.
UNSUCCESSFUL ATTEMPT.
By Telegraph.—Press Association.— New York, . September 24. The Canadian airman Fowler, who attempted to fly from San Franciscp to New York, was unable to cross the Sierras, and returned, landing at Colfax, California. Fowler's engine was not strong enough to carry him across the summits of the mountains and he will probably abandon the attempt.
Rogers has resumed his ocean to ocean flight.
