SOUTHLAND PIONEER'S DEATH
[ST TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] Gore, Monday. An old pioneer named John Gray died to-day of heart failure after a few hours illness. . The deceased arrived at Port Chalmers in 1858, and. came to Gore 28 ears ago. He purchased a farm in the Charlton Block, near Gore. He was 84 ' years of age, and leaves six daughters and :'• two sons, all married. v
