WOMAN CAPTURES BURGLAR.
"HURLED HIM TO THE FLOOR."
Seizing a stranger in her apartment on her return from visiting a friend one day lately, Mrs. W. J. Johnson, of New York, wife of a magazine" writer, threw him to the floor -and held him until her calls for help were answered by neighbours and f a policeman. - " Kindly arrest this burglar," requested Mrs. Johnson, pulling the stranger to his feet when the policeman and others rushed in. . "What has he been doing asked the - policeman. ~ "£* "Robbing my apartment, I presume,"replied Mrs. Johnson. p I was upstairs |g» visiting a friend to discuss some dress patterns, and \ when I returned I found „ . this fellow going through my bureau. 'In, other rooms I saw that he had been up to .no good, so I decided to take cars of him myself till I could get one of yoavi£o policemen. I didn't have much trouble * overpowering him.
