MR. DUNN'S POSITION. Sydney, July 31. Mr. Briner, • one of the • Independents, now. states that he will support the Labour party so long as it does not make extreme proposals. . 1 At the annual dinner of the Commercial Travellers' Association, on Saturday, Mr. Griffiths attacked the Lieutenant-Governor, stating that the electors had said em--1 phatically that the Labour party • was to govern, but the Lieutenant-Governor had said somebody else. Air. Storey (Leader of the Indepen- ' dents) predicts a dissolution very shortly. Mr. Dunn regrets his resignation,- since the caucus had decided to preserve existing rights of conversion and submitted his name to the Mudgee League for re-elec-tion.
