MINER'S NARROW ESCAPE.

A mines, named Mahoney was buried by a fall of mullock in the Waihi Company's open cut this morning, but escaped with a few abrasion? and bruises on one of his legs. He -was trucking at the time, and would doubtless have sustained serious injuries but for the protection afforded by the truck, which kept the weight of the earth off him. '
