Douglas, who has been miss- : ing from Waipiro Bay since last SaturI day. It shows that the unfortunate man \ has probably met his fate by drowning. f Douglas, -who was a shepherd at Ihungia Station, left there at 8.30 p.m. last Saturday for Takapau. On Sunday his horse was found about 100 yds below the ford of a stream running into the Waiapu Rjver". The stream was in flood, and the 'crossing is a dangerous one. A constable "organised a search party, and both sides ;Of .. the stream were diligently searched right down to the bed of the Waiapu River, but no sign of '" the missing man was seen. The search is being continued.
