W 4.ITEMATA FRUITGROWERS' SOCIETY. ;
The quarterly meeting of the Waitemata Fruitgrowers' Co-operative Society was held on Friday. The president, Mr. W. Charman, was in the chair, and there were 30 members present. The secretary read the report and balance-sheet showing returns for tho half-year ending Juno 30. Mr. T. M. Shepherd, in moving the adoption of the report, said that the incrase of business by £6000 for tho first half of the year above that of same period of last year was proof that tho society was making headway. Four nominations were received for the two vacant sects on the committee, Messrs. W. 0. Boyd and R. Hopkins being elected.
ONEHUNGA HIBERNIANS. Tho following officers have been elected for tho onsuing term by the Onehunga H.A.C.B. Society, Bro. E. Dane, past district president, acting as installing officer:—President, Bro. A. J. Martin; vice-president, Bro. J. P. Boland; secretary, Bro. E. J. Hiegins; trasurer, Bro. R. • Donovan; warden, Bro. D. Williams; guardian, Sister Gcraldine Donovan. The secretary's report showed that good progress had been made during the past term. ,
"TRIP AROUND THE WORLD." A lecture entitled "A Trip Around the World" was given by Mr. Clement L. Wraggo at the King's Theatre last evening, the ■ building being crowded, r Tho leoturcr dealt in an interesting way with noteworthy places in all parte of the world.
