RELIGION IN SCHOOLS.

[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Cheistchukch, Tuesday. At this morning's meeting of the Christchurch Presbytery, the report of the General Assembly's committee on religious instruction in public schools was Considered. It was resolved, That the Presbytery approves generally of the principles of the New South Wales scheme of religious education, and more .especially of the Queensland Act of 19i0, which scheme, with minor modifications, was adopted in the State schools of Queensland. The Presbytery does not think it necessary or desirable at ' this stage to discuss details of the scheme, being persuaded that when the main principle is admitted the details will be settled without difficulty."
