BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY.

The sharemarket was not very active yesterday. In mining lines Wnlhis were easier, selling at from 64s 6d to 64s 3d to 63s 6d to 63s 3d, with further sellers at 63s 3d and buyers at 63*. Sales wero made in Waihi tJrsuul Junctions at 27s 6d and 26s 9d, more being available at 275, with buyers at 26s 9d. In investment- stocks National Banks were dealt in at £6 Is, more being on offer Jit £6 Is 6d, with buyers at £6 0s 6d. South British Insurances realised 75s 3d and 755, further buyers offering 74s 6d, sellers quoting 75a. Taupiri Coal Mines were done at 22s and Northern Steamships (paid) at 15s 9d. Sales were made in Talisman Consolidated shares yesterday morning in Auckland at 50s 3d, and late sellers quoted 51s and buyers 50s. . A considerable demand for Talisman shares has set in locally from Wellington ami the South.
