SWIMMING.
LIFE-SAVING SOCIETY.
A letter has been received from Mr. W. Henry, chief secretary Royal Life-saving Society, in which he states that he reached Homo safely and well 011 February 20, and that at the annual meeting of the society.; held on February 28, he mado a statement with respect to the tour. At this meeting there was a very largo attendance of members and. representatives from all parts of the United Kingdom, who wero extremely interested, and received Mr. Henry's remarks with much enthusiasm, particularly when reference was made to tho interest; evinced everywhere in swimming and life-saving; also with Aucklanders' wonderful goodness to Mr. Henry during his stay here. The chief secretary writes that ho was specially requested to convey to the Auckland head centre tho thanks of tho meeting for tho many favours so sonorously and cordially granted to him while here. Tho report of Mr. Henry's tour will bo published in the annual report on May 1, in which lie will deal as_ fully as possible with tho details of the visit, and the impressions gained, so that members in all parts of tho Empire may bo better able to appreciate tho good work being done in the interests of tho Royal Life-saving Society, and tho can so of swimming everywhere.
