Amongst the mailers dealt with during the year were the following : —Establishment, of a bacon factory at Paeroa, purchase of native lands in the vicinity of Paeroa for the purpose of having the same cut up for closer settlement. county representatives,, opening of roads to the Hauraki Plains, rating on unimproved values, and establishment of' a swimming bath for Paeroa.- Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows: President. Cambridge, Sunday.

A meeting of the Waikato Sheep DoJ , Trials Club was held at Cambridge oil Saturday. There was a good attendance. It was decided to hold the trials this year at Ohaupo. A committee, consisting 'm the chairman, Messrs. J. Taylor, A. H. Storey, and W. G. Doyle, was appointed to get the required .permission and make all necessary arrangements. The Arte ol the trial was fixed for June 21 and clThe question of holding ploughing matches in the Waikato came up .a■' meeting of the general committee of the Waikato Central Association, held at Cam- j bridge on Saturday, and a committee was appointed to gather information, and M* ■ j port at the next meeting.
